Connect your Windows Mobile device to a bluetooth telephone

Connect your Windows Mobile device to a bluetooth telephone:
Although converged devices allow you to work with an internal modem, it is a good possibility to use another phone to connect to the internet through GPRS or an internet service provider.

This is also possible when you use another Windows Mobile device that is configured to connect to the internet through GPRS. However, with the introduction of Windows Mobile 5 AKU3, dial-up networking was replaced by Internet Connection Sharing. So, this method does not work if you want to use a Windows Mobile 5 AKU 3 device (or newer) as a modem for your device. This modification might help you, but use at your own risk

Before installing the service, please make sure you have bluetooth enabled and the phone bonded, with the dial-up modem as service between the two devices.
You first start with opening the connection settings:
Conection Settings screen
There you open the connections application:
Windows Mobile Connection Settings
In this dialog you select "Add a new modem connection", which will open the following dialog:
Create a bluetooth modem connection
In this dialog you can enter the name of the connection, so that you can easily recognize the connection, and the type. THe type of connection should be "Bluetooth Dialup Modem". After that, you can click "Next", resulting in the following dialog:
Create a new bluetooth modem connection
Here you will get the question what number to use. ...
