Connecting through Bluetooth is possible quite easily. It just requires your desktop/laptop to be bonded with your PocketPC.
On your Desktop
First you start by identifying the Bluetooth port to be used for ActiveSync. You can do this by opening the Advanced Configuration screen on your desktop:Locate the first Bluetooth Serial Port and write down the associated COM-port. This is the COM-port that is going to be used for creating the connection with ActiveSync. In this case, it is COM-5.
ONLY the first bluetooth port will work due to a bug in Windows Mobile/ActiveSync. Added Bluetooth Serial Ports will not be recognized as providing an ActiveSync service
After this, open ActiveSync and go to the Connection Settings...
In the Connection settings you activate the third option (Allow connections to one of the following) and select the COM-port you have written down (in our case COM 5).
On your PocketPC
After the creation of a serial port that connects to ActiveSync, you can connect to it.Please make sure you already have synchronized at least once using a cable. This is necessary for defining the ActiveSync relationship that the PocketPC will look for when starting to synchronize. If you don't, you will get an error stating "Cannot find an existing bluetooth partnership with a PC that supports ActiveSync. Would you like to set up a partnership now?"
Just open your bluetooth settings and select your desktop:
When you open your desktop it will search for the available services, and it will indicate that it has found an ActivSync port. Activate it by ticking the box next to it:
After saving it, your Bluetooth ActiveSync connection is ready to use!
